This morning at 9:48am the heart of Ric James Swezey stopped and he slipped the bonds of earth and began his ascension into the Kingdom of God. Lord we commend his soul to you and we know you know that one of the finest servants you ever sent to this earth is returning home.
My heart is broken and full all at once. Our two precious children Kate and Luke are a a rock for their papa. My sweet sweet Ric, you have won your final Gold Medal in the All Around Of Life. You will always have my heart. In the Greek Orthodox tradition we say “May his memory be eternal”. I have no doubt of this.
Again thank you all for the overwhelming outpouring of love. I will send wake and funeral arrangements when made. I will also be sending the information for donations to honor Ric’s life to Family Equality Council, which advocates for children and families like ours. Ric would want to be sure the work that allowed our family to be created would continue on in his memory to make more loving families like ours.
