I’m 50 and I never say it out loud, but I hate this time of year. Starting at 10/31 I just wish for it to be 1/2. Too many Norman Rockwell pics to see. I will be with aging mom on 12/25 and it will be my 7th Christmas without one present to open. Yet I have so many friends that would be shocked. We are all too self absorbed to notice. Real life.
