Phyllis, you have no idea about attachment issues. Children who do not attach can not love or allow themselves to be loved. If it takes co sleeping then by all means co sleep. We did. We still do. my 19 yo daughter slept with us last week because she was very upset and needed comfort. We do what we need to do. She is a strong young woman.
