Prepare Board
Using a scanner and printer, or a copy machine, make a copy of a page from a coloring book and glue the copy to a piece of foam core board.
Glue
Trace along the outline of an image from the coloring book page using glue (you can squeeze the glue right from the bottle onto the paper but for thicker areas, you may want to use a paintbrush).
Sprinkle Sand
Sprinkle colored sand over the wet glue and let sit for a few minutes.
Dump Sand
Dump the excess sand off the board and onto a plate.
Repeat Process
Continue outlining and filling in your picture using only one sand color at a time.
Dumping your colored sand onto a plate will make it easier to get your unused sand back into the bottles…but don’t mix colors!
