How 2

PHOTO BALLS

Materials:
20 Photographs
Fiskar Circle Cutter set to 2" in diameter***
Hot glue gun
12" piece of scrap ribbon for hanging loop
A small piece of scrap cardboard

***You can also cut the circles freehand by tracing a 2" diameter circle from a household item like cardboard roll from paper towels.

Step 1
Step 1
Step 1

Cut circles (2 inch diameter) from photos. You will need 20 circles to complete the project.

Step 2
Step 2
Step 2

Make a triangle template from a small piece of scrap cardboard. All sides of the triangle should be 1 and 3/4 inches in length. (Equilateral triangle). Place the triangle template on top of the circle and fold the three sides of the exposed photo circle up.

Step 3
Step 3
Step 3

Divide your 20 folded circles into 3 sets of 5, 1 set of 4, and you will have one remaining. Work first with the 3 sets of 5. Using a hot glue gun, glue 5 folded circles together, creating a larger circle. Repeat for the 2nd and 3rd set. Next glue the 1 set of 4 together with one in the center, and the remaining 3 on the 3 folded sides.

Step 4
Step 4
Step 4

Now you are ready to connect all the sides to complete the photo ball. Using the single piece as the anchor point, glue the three circles to each side. You will find the 3 circles now touch sides, glue those points together. Make a loop from a 12" piece of ribbon, by folding it in half and tying a knot in the bottom. Glue the remaining piece (made of 4 photo circles) to the top of the photo ball - catching the loop in one of the flaps.
