Cut white paper
White construction paper
Cut into rectangles 1 ½ inches. by 4 ½ inches. Fold in half and round off the corners with scissors. Each flower has seven petals.
Fold wire
Fold a piece of floral wire in half and push a pom pom into the fold of the wire. Twist the wire to trap the pom pom inside. Cover a couple of inches below the pom pom with floral tape.
White pipe cleaner
Wrap about 3 to 4 inches of white pipe cleaner onto the wire under the pom pom, leave the excess pipe cleaner free.
Petals
One at a time, fold the seven petals onto the pipe cleaner slightly overlapping the previous petal. At the same time turn the stem, wrapping the pipe cleaner around and trapping the petals up against the pom pom. Wrap the left over pipe cleaner down the stem and cover with floral tape.
Leaf
Cut green construction paper into 2 ½ by 4 ½ inches. Fold in half and cut into leaf shape. You can create a more realistic looking leaf by running them thru a paper crimper or accordion fold them by hand on a diagonal. Unfold the leaf and glue a green pipe cleaner down the center fold as a stem. Attach the leaf to the flower’s stem using floral tape.
